Walk, Walk

23 March 2009

It's a good twenty five minute walk from the house to his school. I dropped him off at around nine in the morning, went home after half an hour of lingering in his classroom, went back to fetch him at almost noon, and then came back home at around one in the afternoon! Phew! I am very tired. My legs are wobbly! That was a good workout.

On Fridays, his daddy will drop him off early in the morning and I will fetch him after lunch. But I think it's better that daddy drops him to school every time. This way, I will have more time to do chores and whatnots at home on Mondays while I'm off of my baby sitting job. Today, all I could do was chill by the time I got back home.

Can you imagine if Akio does not have a stroller? A good walk plus carrying his back pack and lunch box, while holding on to him and extra jackets... na hala!

The walk is not that bad, I took different routes. I explored our neighborhood. How quiet, how boring, how sad. The houses are pretty, the pavements and lawn are well maintained but I could count more cars parked than people walking their dogs or tinkering with their yards. If only I see more people outside, then it would become less lonely... good thing I have a stroller for props otherwise I'd really be going nuts. Hehehe!
