My dear friends have been crazy about flowers and macro shots. While I envy growing flowers or any plant for that matter, I also envy their ability to take these shots, and yes they're fancy cameras too! Hehehe!
Back in the day (which makes me sound ancient), I was never really fond of them. It felt awkward to actually hold them. I thought that I was not too appropriate too actually enjoy them. The first time I received a bunch, I shoved them inside my backpack (much to my boyfriend-now-husband's dismay). I was embarrassed to be carrying flowers! That was our very first anniversary, eeek!
Every time he was in Cebu, he would bring a huge bouquet of flowers from Manila. I would insist that I drop them off at my office, because I don't want to be carrying any flower for that matter. My office mates would know if he was in town because my cubicle would look like a wake (and smelled like one too grrr!). I would be surrounded with so much of them... I would blush of course, because I enjoy looking at my colleagues' envious grins bleh!
But now, oh now... how long has it been? There is only one person in this world who would send me flowers just because I got sick and it worried her, hoping that I can grow a pot of what she sent... WRONG! I want to grow them too, but I can't. I want to take pictures of them but I don't see any sprouting yet.
So for now, this fake flower will do. It's from a gift box I got years ago... =)
