Tales and Whatnots

26 February 2010

In anticipation of the little munchkin, I haven't been updating my virtual world with whatnots. I have been busy relaxing LOL! With the preterm contractions that I am having, I can't be running around the house any longer. The kitchen is often closed, I am mostly upstairs lying down... avoiding as much as possible going up and down the stairs. Our house angel who takes care of the house for us is so wonderful keeping the house neat and tidy, our stomachs filled with warm meals, and comfortable with crisp and fresh ironed clothes! Amazing! I can get used to it, oh well but I have to know this is just temporary.

Soon, my days will be filled with happy chaos! Hehehe! Two babies, husband, a household, and a business to run. There are many things to announce and be proud of... milestones for the family and the business but then again, not much time to do chit chatting. I take advantage of the energy spurts that would last me maybe for an hour or so. I can't be standing nor sitting too long! I have to really lie on my left or raise my legs. The woes of this pregnancy.... oh well.

Then again, I am very excited!

Because He Is Just The Sweetest!

15 February 2010

The little kuya is such a wonder... he brushes his own teeth and takes a shower by himself these days. It's a lot of load off my back because God knows how difficult it is to bend or squat just to scrub him and whatnot. Now, he knows the routine of proper hygiene and does it very well! He also helps me with chores in the house -- loading the washer (hard to bend just to pick up the dirty clothes from the hamper, but he does it with ease), change the toilet paper, cleans up his own mess (a lot of it) in the kitchen, and well prepares his own food too hehehe!

He is becoming independent. Every day he still amazes me... he is still is the sweetest boy I know! But, of course!!!

He devours books now and enjoys our dates at the bookstore after his classes. I sound like the little one with the temper tantrum, always wanting to go home... while he asks me to just rest and wait for him until he finishes his books -- dinosaurs, snakes, space, etc.

I noticed he isn't much of a party person, reminds me of someone I married. He knows how to entertain himself and be quiet in a room full of people. He is giddy with playmates, endures 'attacks' and doesn't hit back. Perhaps I should teach him how to defend himself one of these days.

Oh my little boy wonder! You've grown so much since those chubby cheeks... how I wish I can keep you like this forever and be my baby always. I pray that you will always have a gentle soul and heart, with a strong character and the smartest mind. May you always see the bright side of life despite of. Mommy and Daddy are always here for you...

Happy Valentines Day sweetest! Thank you for making this holiday ever special for us =)

(I have to take pics of the crafts he made for valentines)

Oh heart, oh LoVe!

Come, Visit!

09 February 2010

Lately, it's all been a roller coaster of angst and exhaustion! The excitement of having the little munchkin soon has been negated with all the discomforts of being miserably pregnant! It's funny though, it's just these past few days all I can hear are my complaints and what do you know I am getting tired of me too!!!!

I wish my girls are here with me. They would humor me with their whatnots... and I'd gladly prepare something for them (perhaps I'd order in). Chelo's twit about having a valentines for girls surely prompted to write this, because I am craving for a much needed girl time. Come visit me... let's go to the spa and have some facial and massage, manicure and pedicure, haircut and etc. Then we'd stop by a cafe to have some paninis, pastries, tea or coffee... would that be a delight?

As I write this, I am enjoying my reel social life (that is the twitter). I wish it were true... but since it's not, I will just savour what I can to keep my sanity.

Wishing you a more wonderful week than I will ever have hehehe!

Almost Kuya

03 February 2010

It's just going to be all about him and me. I will make the most out of the remaining weeks left before he comes a kuya! I am sure he's going to be a great big brother and sweet little boy to us. Lately, I indulge him to sleep with me. I cuddle and tickle him before he sleeps to make up for not being able to carry him anymore. I don't want him to feel that I am always aching because of the baby.

For now, everything is overwhelming! I am quite sad that he is no longer my baby. I kept looking at his old videos and photos... looking at him now, I often wonder how did I ever survived those years? Soon, it won't just be the two of us left at home. There are going to be changes... I hope he won't ever feel left out nor neglected. I hope I will have the energy to devote to him because quite frankly he requires all the attention especially when he's brewing lots of ideas and whatnots when he's playing...

I pray for strength, grace, and serenity to get past these mood swings and discomforts so I don't snap at my poor little boy wonder.
