Why Bother?

15 July 2010

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Sometimes I don't understand myself... err most of the times. Why am I drawn to things that bother me with so much insecurities and whatnots? I will be myself. And I should not doubt that I can be whatever I want to be...

Desiderata has been my favorite since I first read in third grade.

You are awesome as you are, T. And yes, you can be whatever you want to be. :)

Bilib! I read this in high school. I don't remember what I have been reading when I was in third grade hehe!

Thank you Ai! Thank you for being an inspiration ;-)

You inspire me a lot, too, T. :)

Re reading Desiderata in third grade - Mom pasted it on our wall man, so I read it every single day. LOL. I can't forget this because I made her explain each sentence to me. LOL.

Plus, I really loved the song: "You are the child of the universe..." :D
