Thoughts on a Storm

18 April 2009

The weather has its ways of spoiling a perfectly planned weekend date. We were supposed to watch Tang Concubines at the Denver Center of Performing Arts this afternoon and enjoy a leisurely dinner after wards at the 16th Street Mall. The little one would have stayed with his Lola Susa. But what do you know, the snow storm which gracefully glazed over us yesterday did not stop until the afternoon of today. Yes, we just had the deepest snow ever on an April! WAAAAH! So much for weather injustice! (I know the other part of the world is complaining of too much heat... blah blah blah)

When I woke up this morning, I wasn't too pleased to see too much snow fall. I hurriedly did my chores hoping not to be late for the play considering it will really be a slow drive. However, after the husband cleaned the driveway and drive run through it he could not make past the snow! So, we stayed home. Thankfully, we could still use our tickets for tomorrow.

On another note, I got my period one week later! After keeping my hopes up that probably it would be my greatest birthday gift so far, it came and completely ruined my Saturday! I went to nap with cramps and woke up with a very bad migraine! The husband made me coffee, which he had to do three times (this merits another blog hehehe!) to get it right... so much for instant coffee huh!?

And I am supposed to make a lovely tinola dinner to comfort our trapped cold souls... but no, I am not too chirpy for that. The husband is now making instant pancit canton LOL =)

Hope your weekend was fabulous!
